Sale on June Street: The Bienstock Group JUST SOLD the house at 175 N June Street in Hancock Park. The house is unusual in that it is one story and 4047 square feet on a 17,953 square foot lot. The house was last updated in the 1990s and will be completely gutted and renovated inside and out by the new owners.
Hancock Park Historic Preservation Overlay Zone – The house is in the Hancock Park HPOZ neighborhood, but it is a non-contributing house. The Hancock Park HPOZ is a historic preservation committee charged with making sure the character of the neighborhood is preserved. The HPOZ governs the way houses look from the street. Since 175 June is on the corner of June and Beverly, it is very visible from the street. Even though the house is non-contributing, the new owners will need the HPOZ to sign off on all renovations before the city will issue permits to renovate the property.
The house sold off market for $2,650,000. The new buyers are relocating to the area from NY with their five children. We see many buyers moving into our Hancock Park neighborhood and not many buyers moving out. Inventory in the neighborhood is at an all time historic low while demand is at an all time historic high.
